What do my students say?

“I have been studying Portuguese with Annika for a few years. Annika is educative and structured. As she understands the Portuguese culture, one learns more than just the language. I always look forward to the lessons. ” – Elisabet, Lagos, Portugal

“Annika has succeeded with the difficulty of making her teaching interesting, fun and effective!” – Lars, Lagos

“If you want to learn Portuguese, I can really recommend Annika’s courses. She is good at adapting lessons to the participants’ knowledge. We train a lot of pronunciation by imitating, Annika has a fantastic patience. There is also very good material to listen to and train at home. Besides, it’s very nice! ” – Birgitta, Lagos, Portugal

“This is now the seventh term I study Portuguese with Annika. Practical Portuguese to use in everyday life, on the go and in every conceivable situation. Small groups that worked well on-line even during lockdown. Especially well-adapted for us immigrants / “Swedish Portuguese”. A little culture and society creeps in and also some grammar. With a number of languages in the bag, I would like to say that Annika’s courses are outstanding, compared to traditional ones. Highly recommended – but do not forget to do your homework! ”- Ingela, Lagos, Portugal

“After several years of regular, fun and educational language lessons with Annika, we can appreciate Portugal’s wonderful people, culture and food even more.” Grateful students Lotta and Anders, Lagos, Portugal

“Even though many Portuguese are good at and like to speak English, you often end up in situations when it is good to understand and be able to say a few sentences in Portuguese. We have experienced that with many authorities and in some shops it is difficult to cope. In Annika Feder’s lessons, we have been able to practice common situations that are faced in the everyday life as a resident of Portugal, such as shopping in the market, going to the clothing store or the bank. We have learned many useful phrases and words. In order to be able to understand and comprehend, it is impossible to avoid the Portuguese’s sometimes complicated grammar, with many inflections of verbs. We now get a feel for the Portuguese language and can carry on in the everyday life by learning new words. ” – Krister and Annica have been living in Lagos, Portugal since 2017

“To you who are thinking of studying Portuguese, stop thinking and do something about it. You will get many more great experiences from a more exciting perspective in this fantastic country. I was lucky enough to join one of Annika Feder’s courses for beginners in Portuguese 2019 and still think it’s one of the highlights of the week to learn more. What I appreciate most about Annika’s courses is:
* focus on current useful phrases in everyday situations, eg in the store / restaurant / post office, etc.
* own developed study material with varied exercises that stimulate self-study
* fantastic well-organized website where the study material is available so I can study / do homework when it suits me
* In these Corona times, our study group has also had online teaching. It worked just fine.
* Last but not least, Annika has a unique ability to adapt the pace of study / degree of difficulty to each individual’s needs so that everyone gets the most out of her/his courses.
I can warmly recommend Annika Feder’s courses which will teach you this beautiful language in the best and most fun way.” – Lena, Lagos, Portugal

“Annika has really got us interested in learning Portuguese in a fun and educative way. Only after one term we do feel that we have acquired knowledge that makes us dare to use what we have learned in everyday life. We will continue the coming terms. It gives short-term results when you also have self-study between lessons. We can warmly recommend Annika’s courses. ” – Kerstin and Sven, Lagos, Portugal

“We have learned Portuguese for four terms with Annika Wennergren-Feder as a teacher. Lessons once a week and homework every time. Each lesson has been rewarding, edifying, and enjoyable. Step by step we have learned words, expressions, everyday conversations and some grammar. However, the focus has not been on grammar but on understanding and being able to express oneself. But of course some grammar is required so we have worked with useful verbs (regular / irregular / present / imperfect and futurum), as well as some other things that are needed (prepositions / arithmetic words / adjectives / adverbs etc.) Each lesson gives you new written work material with texts, sentences and assignments. Audio files are available on Annika’s website to practise comprehension and pronunciation. In total, we have had 66 lessons, of which a number online due to lock-down, as we could not meet physically. We have preferred the lessons at Annika’s home, but distance learning via the internet has also worked well. We are now finally beginning to feel that we master the language to a certain level. We understand and can express ourselves, but the hardest part is still keeping up when people are talking fast. It has been fun and educative and we are now starting our fifth term with the hope of greater challenges to speak in Portuguese. Overall, we are happy to recommend Annika to anyone who wants to learn Portuguese.” – Lars and Marianne, Lagos, Portugal

“I have participated in a group of 5 participants for 2 years. I think I learn a lot which is good to use in everyday life. I dare to speak, I think I write and read well. Still difficult to understand what is being said. Very good structure of the course. Fantastic exercises. Can warmly recommend Annika’s courses which are available in several levels. ” – Christina, Lagos, Portugal

“After living in Portugal for four years, I felt I needed to learn more Portuguese. And with Annika’s help, my vocabulary has grown tremendously. Today I can have simpler conversations with Portuguese, cope in restaurants, shops, the gas station, the hospital, etc. Her lessons have been extremely valuable to me personally and to my professional role. I am grateful and very pleased with the education I receive from Annika. ” – Margareta, Lagos, Portugal
